Dead Man’s Fingers secures first national grocery listing

In just a matter of weeks since launching two new variants and a punchy redesign, Dead Man’s Fingers, the premium rum brand created in Cornwall, has continued its impressive momentum by securing its first national grocery listing with Asda.

Having mainly enjoyed distribution in the South West of the country, the deal presents a major milestone in the brand’s evolution since being acquired by Halewood, specialists in innovative artisanal spirits and craft beers.

Asda will be stocking the brand’s original Spiced Rum at select stores nationwide from 21st June. Bottled at 37.5% ABV and available in 70cl format, Dead Man’s Fingers will be introduced with an RRP of £22.

Aimed at targeting a new generation of rum drinkers through its irreverence and sense of individuality, Dead Man’s Fingers is an inspired blend of premium Caribbean rums, resulting in an exceptionally smooth taste and perfect balance of sweetness and spice.

Lucy Cottrell, Brand Manager for Dead Man’s Fingers, commented: “Dead Man’s Fingers has grown a cult following in the South West since its launch in 2015, receiving lots of acclaim in a relatively short space of time, so it’s exciting to finally share its exceptional qualities with the rest of the country.

Consumers will see a brand that finally breaks away from some of the pirate and palm tree category stereotypes, as well as a premium rum that at £22, holds its own as a bold ingredient in cocktails but also neat as a sipping rum, which is rare to see at this price point. With the support of Halewood’s expertise in building artisanal brands and securing new routes to market, it’s set to be an exciting next 12 months for the brand.
