Halewood inks UK distribution deal with Russia’s Beluga
Halewood Wines & Spirits is continuing to drive the evolution of its craft and artisanal spirits portfolio, by securing UK and Republic of Ireland distribution rights to Beluga, producers of a range of super-premium Russian vodkas.
The deal, which takes effect from 1st July, will see Halewood take over from Cellar Trends to supply both the on and off trade with Beluga’s coveted collection of exquisite vodkas, including Beluga Noble, Transatlantic, Allure, Gold Line, and Hunting variants. Further to the additional routes to market that the deal offers, the brand will also benefit from additional marketing and promotional support.
The award-winning range, which hails from Siberia, where the Mariinsk Distillery was established in 1900, stands out from the crowd with a unique distillation method. The process couples malt spirit with artesian water drawn from the Siberian bedrock and maturation that typically takes one to three months, resulting in a pure, clean, crisp vodka.
The brand’s superior liquids will bolster Halewood’s existing portfolio of handcrafted premium vodkas, including J.J. Whitley Potato and Rhubarb Vodkas, Whitley Neill Blood Orange and Rye Vodkas, Liverpool Vodka, and Glasgow Distillery’s G52 Urban Craft Vodka, which form part of the company’s wider premium craft spirits range.
Sergey Mikhaylov, Export Manager for Western Europe at Beluga Group, commented: “Thanks to its superb marketing and distribution expertise, Halewood has built a proven track record for taking brilliant brands further. As such, we’re confident the business can deliver significant growth for us in the UK, which remains one of the world’s largest luxury vodka markets.”
Commenting on the deal, Stewart Hainsworth, Group CEO at Halewood Wines & Spirits, added: “Beluga has built a worldwide reputation for producing high quality vodka and for that reason it’s an excellent extension of Halewood’s existing range of innovative and artisanal spirits. We see tremendous opportunity to take the brand on to even greater success.”← BACK TO ALL ARTICLES
