Halewood Opens the World’s First Whitley Neill Bar in St-Petersburg

In September 2019, Halewood officially opened the Whitley Neill Bar & Kitchen on Belinsky Street in Saint-Petersburg.

Petersburg, like London, the birthplace of the Whitley Neill, is known for its rainy climate and “monochrome” palette of architecture. The two cities are similar not only in gray shades, but also in their bright distinctive nightlife.  But the northern Russia capital had a special honor: the opening of the world’s first Whitley Neill Bar & Kitchen gastrobar.

Whitley Neil Bar St Petersburg

The grand opening party was an evening line-up of great entertainment: an instrumental performance by the FUN2MASS group, dj sets from the journalist Ksenia Goshchitskaya and fashion designer Marat Cortez, a sommelier challenge with the opportunity to win a mini version of the craft gin, as well as graffiti custom zone, where guests created their own unique glasses with personalized graffiti tags.

The opening of the gastrobar in St. Petersburg is a unique opportunity for Petersburgers to discover exceptional flavour combinations created by generations of British distillers. In addition to traditional tastes, the Whitley Neill Gin line features interesting combinations of rhubarb and ginger, aloe and cucumber, as well as the tastes of quince, raspberry, blackberry, Sicilian orange, grapefruit and violet.

In addition to a variety of gins, the Whitley Neill Bar & Kitchen bar card contains a wide selection of Irish whiskey, scotch, bourbon, rum, liqueurs for every taste and price range, as well as a wide range of organic Lamb & Watt tonics and craft beer, which are Halewood Wine & Spirits own brands.
