Chalié Richards is a wine merchants established in 1700 in Mincing Lane, London. The business was established by Mathew Chalié and William Parry Richards. They historically supplied six successive monarchs from George IV through to George VI.

The business was bought by John Halewood as part of the Classic Drinks acquisition and delivered a lifetime dream of John’s to have a premium wine business. In 2017 Chalié Richards expanded into a fully composite premium licensed wholesaler.

Presently operating and delivering to primarily the premium on-trade within the M25, Chalié Richards boasts a spirits portfolio in excess of 3,000 products and several hundred global wines; a sales team of eight members and a fleet of five vans to fulfil it’s next day delivery service. Chalié Richards incorporates Barwell & Jones; a full channel, agency business representing wines from premium, family owned producers from around the world including Esporao, Perelada & Tapihue. Barwell & Jones supplies directly, a number of key strategic accounts including The Wine Society, Waitrose and Heineken.
