A classic combination of Crabbie’s Green Ginger Wine mixed with Scottish malt whisky.
The name comes from the first man to make it, Colonel Macdonald, who served in the British Army in 19th century Raj-era India. His creation, the ‘whisky Macdonald’, quickly became shortened to ‘whisky mac’ as it gained in popularity.
Today, we take Crabbie’s Green Ginger Wine - with ginger steeped for six weeks following John Crabbie’s original recipe - and blend it with the finest Speyside malt whisky to make our Ginger Mac.
The result is a smooth, warming drink best enjoyed as it comes or with a single cube of ice. Simply sublime.
